In a chat with The Indian Express Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta on NDTV 24x7's Walk the Talk, Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli talks about his life away from fashion – his children, the women he admires and why he decided to never design for friend Michael Jackson

Hello everyone and welcome to Walk The Talk. Our guest today is one of the greatest designers of all time, Roberto Cavalli. You are being interviewed by somebody who knows nothing about fashion, so we decided not to talk about fashion.

I don't know so much about fashion. Fashion is in my DNA, but I am ready to speak on anything that you would like to, because I respect you and also I am so happy to see India.

Now that you've made a little confession, I will also make a little confession. I call myself a political journalist, I know nothing about politics but I can talk about it. So how do you describe yourself?

How do I describe myself...

You are not used to having men on your arms…

It doesn't matter. I have two wives and five children.

Creative, Florentine. Florentine, because I breathed art since I was born. Also, I have many, many tastes. I love to fly. I am a helicopter pilot. Many things I could tell you about me.

There is a friend of mine, a politician who is married to a helicopter pilot. She tells me if you were to go to a dining hall with 1,000 people and one of them is a pilot, how do you find out which one is the pilot? It's more likely that he will come and tell you and you don't have to find out. Now that you told me that you are a pilot...

It's true, in the beginning, I used to say I am a helicopter pilot and I felt so proud. I felt like Superman.
