The state Congress on Wednesday alleged that BJP-led NDA regime in the Centre had discriminated against Gujarat by reducing the length of national highways from 2,382 kms to 2,354 kms in the state.
This was stated by party leader Shaktisinh Gohil while addressing a party workers meeting at Himmatnagar.
But the Congress-led UPA government increased the national highways' length from 2,354 to 3,245 kms in 2008-09, he further said. These details were contained in Gujarat social-economic review-2011 placed in the state Assembly, he added.
Stating that Chief Minister Narendra Modi was having anti-poor, tribal and dalit mindset, Gohil said the CM was only concerned about a few billionaires.
