A bomb threat on an Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi to Bangalore triggered a security alert at the Delhi and Bengaluru International Airports on Friday. The call, received around 11.30 am,turned out to be a hoax. Officials of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) said the call was traced to a mobile phone, which had been diverted. The caller demanded to talk to a certain girl. On being refused by the airlines staff,he claimed there was a bomb on board,BCAS officials said. They added the caller turned up at the airport around 3 pm,and was detained and later arrested. The Central Industrial Security Force and Delhi Police officers, however, refuted these reports. The call centre of Yatra.com and Indigo Airlines received a call around 11 am claiming there was a bomb on board a flight that had already departed. The number was traced to Kolkata. We are still inquiring. No arrests have been made so far, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport),O P Mishra, said.
