Here is an AICC secretary whose very sight makes even senior Congress leaders, including general secretaries, fall silent. He is a retired Army officer and his party colleagues believe he is the “eyes and ears” of 10 Janpath at 24, Akbar Road. He enters any leader’s room at any time without any hesitation or qualms. One of the general secretaries once took a swipe at him that “he also has to report”. Apparently, the man with the indomitable patience wasn’t ruffled.
