As many as 11 confirmed dengue positive cases were reported from Chandigarh on Friday.
So far, 283 confirmed dengue cases have been reported during this season.
To deal with the current situation, focal fogging was done in Sector 37/A & B, Sector 38/A & B and Industrial Area Phase-II. These fogging operations are being carried out in the presence of area councillor/prominent persons/ local leaders.
The Malaria Wing also intensified house-to-house activities and checked 2,406 hoses, 1,145 coolers, 286 tyres and 758 containers. As many as 23 notices were issued to the defaulters.
