Thirteen stray dogs came to the rescue of 22-year-old Kumar Prashant, a resident of Brahma Baug Society, B T Kawde Road, in the wee hours of Thursday night. "I feed the dogs every night. On Thursday, as I distributed food, four drunk men walked towards me, grabbed my collar, pushed me to the ground and forced me to give my ring, mobile phone, cash and credit cards," says this student of AISSMS College of Engineering. That's when the pack of dogs started barking. They bit one of the attackers and ran after the rest for over a km. A night patrolling police vehicle brought the situation under control. Without asking for help, his furry friends came to his rescue. "They are man's best friends indeed," Prashant says.
