Body of an 18-year-old boy, who was killed by his friends and buried in the fields, was recovered in Rahimpur village, near Kartarpur. The reason behind the youth's murder was said to be his alleged affair with the sister of one of his friends, Dharminder. Malkiat Singh had been missing since August 25, when he had gone with his four friends to attend a 'jagrata'. During investigations, when the police questioned his friends, one of them broke down and spilled the beans.
