sikh honour
by Suresh Iyer on 2008-11-20 08:17:00.944131+05:30
I dont think Rahul has to show any remorse for congress sponsored Sikh genocide. If the sikh community had any moral conscience the Congress should never ever come back to power in a state like Punjab. BUt more than once after the carnage, the congress has ruled Punjab. It clearly shows how much self honour the sikhs have as a community.THey have not reacted the way the Hindu community did in Gujarat when the Godhra incident was blamed on the Hindus themselves.

I am surprised the news media, including IE,considers this to be FRONT PAGE news when that carnage was so obviously criminally supported by the Congress Party with Rahul's Dad giving open encouragement with his supportive statement : when a big tree falls, the ground shakes ! Did Rahul condemn his own Dad's statement ? What would be newsworthy is if Rahul hunts for those within the Congress who were known to have organised the killings. What will be newsworthy is if Rahul compiles a list of the victims and finds out whether government help reached them or if not, help them from the Congress Party corpus funds.Otherwise his remarks are just pre-poll rhetoric.
Rahul Can Rule India
by abdrrahmanbinmohamedmeera on 2008-11-20 06:34:46.717898+05:30
it does not matter at least he has apologized for the revenge killings of 1984, it shows his brave moral fiber and bold frame of mind, excellent Rahul, keep it up and think and act objectively, do not care about the comments of senile old guys who have so for ruined India on communal lines. The guys who make rude comments are rude because they have are terribly scared that an honest man like you may outdo the communal politicians and take over the administration of India. India needs revolutionaries like you; you can do with the help of good advisors. Take care; get your people united and march forward, history will repeat itself when we get back to the golden days of India's secular democracy under your great-grand father Nehru.

Rahul's comments on action Blue Star
by Surjeet Singh on 2008-11-20 01:50:49.287715+05:30
It is nice to hear how young Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has revealed his 'reaction' on blue star incident - has it not come as a late reaction? Wish and pray that more such 'condemnation' of such incidents bring some consolation to the Sikh community. Incidentally, to my knowledge Sikhs never betrayed Congress, though it looked the other way round. Politics is the dirtiest and most harmful game the politicians play. May good sense prevail. By the way, the persons responsible for this heneous crimes are still alive and are enjoying better and higher positions in the country with hardly any relief to the families and who lost their beloved ones. Loose talks and irresponsible statements labeling young leaders like Rahul Gandhi must be condemned in the strongest words - don't forget "bacha" of today can be, rather will be a better leader tomorrow. Painfully, Sikh community found no healers in any 'Party' as "blue star" did not wake up 'conscience' well wishes.
Rahul

India has a promising young politician in Rahul, who can think beyond hatred and lust for money and powder. He is dignified in all his speech, expresses his opinion without ambiguity and not uninvolved in vote bank politics. Hew will earn the stamp of approval of the entire nation very soon.
1984 Wrong
by Carmela on 2008-11-19 20:21:17.095746+05:30
Does he know the meaning of right and wrong. In a milder tone he says it was wrong. If he not like the other bastards of Gandhi family. He should expel all those whose names have figured in the carnage.
1984 Sick carnage
by Subramanian P V on 2008-11-19 19:49:19.577904+05:30
It took so many years to find out what happened during the Sick carnage. Rahul's elders wee ruling the country when people responsible for this were moving around freely and with satisfaction of having done something worth in their life for their party. Now it is time for the parliamentary elections, people one by one have started shedding crocodile tears for the sin. Do they think people will forget the crime committed by these people and forgive?

by kirit shah on 2008-11-19 17:09:55.378097+05:30
rahul is trying hard to save him his mother and his grandmother's image by saying so after so many years of the event. politics is the art of impossible and that is what these politicians r doing. at every step congress has tried to prevent any steps being taken against the culprits because they r congress past/present members. congress has always tried to save the culprits . so was the case in bofors case. general non congress people r not taking seriously what rahul says.
Will Supreme court now atleast arrest Sonia?
by Indian on 2008-11-19 16:07:32.848986+05:30
Can our judiciary take cognizance of the statement of Rahul and arrest Sonia and her congress gang for killing sikhs and damaging sikh properties?

rahul's croc tears
by dilip deo on 2008-11-19 19:35:38.026507+05:30
well then, the bachcha has been able to fool people like you by sheding a few drops of crocodilean tears as the gandhi parivar has always done for generations. what was his mother doing when his father justified the killings saying: when a big tree falls, many creatures do get crushed beneath it. has he the guts to start legal proceedings against the queen atleast now? grow up, mr palekar
Mr Rahul's Apology
by Ravi Prakash on 2008-11-19 14:22:30.12377+05:30
It is election times, Mr Rahul can say what he likes. Why should the Congress own up responsibility after 24 years?. The bereaved widows who saw the horrors of their near and dear ones being killed had been either declared as hostile or inconsistent and made to withdraw their testimony. By the sheer delay of convicting the culprits the outrage has been compounded in a cynical manner. The Congress will carry the sin forever on its collective concience. And not even Mr Rahul's apology will wash this sin. The secular nature of the Congress has been dented by its purely cynical alliances. It is time Mr Rahul stopped befooling the Sikhs by these statements.

Can congess stop the brahmin hatred campaign?
by Santosh on 2008-11-19 12:57:44.731522+05:30
May be the time has come when Rahul and congress in maharashtra echoes similar feelings to Brahmin comunity regarding the carnage after Mahatma Gandhi's killings. Can congess muster that courage and admit it was wrong.
so why are you holding bjp responsible now ?
by ashok pai on 2008-11-19 12:56:37.61743+05:30
both are in the same boat according to your admission, mr. rahul. congress admits that its caused greater damage than modi, has done. how about nailing all those congress workers who caused the damage then ? give justice, not apologies.
Will Rahul admit his father's mistake?
by ram on 2008-11-19 12:46:00.302572+05:30
what a shame on India. Father leading the carnage and son saying it was wrong. Who will pay for the damages done by the father - congress or sonia? See how many innocent people and property were damaged and after 24 years some bacha says it was wrong - how easily people can say something? Is Rahul willing to accept that his father made an mistake??
Rajiv lead the carnage??
by Raj on 2008-11-19 14:23:54.132898+05:30
You are talking like an ignorant person. You mean Rajiv Gandhi lead the 1984 carnage on Sikhs? Do you know any thing about history? Indira was shot by her body guards who were Sikh and as stupid as we human beings are, people went on rampage against Sikhs for revenge just like people in US went after Sikhs in US after Sep 11 attack.
Rajeev orchestrated Sing carnage is wrong Mr Rahul ?
by Sing Tappu on 2008-11-19 12:33:07.960219+05:30
Hahahaaa ! moron Rahul it is done by your congress party under the leadership of your dad. Before making such statements you would left your shame aside and ask you mom how much she is doing for hindus now ?
Now find the culprits
by Ajay on 2008-11-19 11:56:09.735456+05:30
Baccha...now go and find the culprits. you won't have to go too far. just open the membership book of your party.
Rahul ... stay focussed
by Baatul on 2008-11-19 11:49:16.437412+05:30
Young India wants Roti, Kapda, Makaan aur Naukri. He mustn't loose the focus. Everything else is hogwash. Rahul must listen to the masses.
RAHUL'S ADMITTANCE
by Aniyan on 2008-11-19 11:31:47.373811+05:30
RAHUL GANDHI, IF YOU CHECK WITH ABHISHEK SINGHVI, JAYANTI NATARAJAN OR KAPIL SIBAL, THEY WILL STILL SAY THAT IT WAS NEEDED!! HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS A DIFFERENT OPINION WITHOUT CHECKING WITH THEM. STILL IT TOOK 24 YEARS FOR YOU TO SAY THAT IT WAS WRONG ! NO MURDER EVER WAS OR IS RIGHT. ALL MURDERS ARE WRONG. MURDER IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR A PROBLEM. SO, NOT ONLY THE BUTCHERING OF SIKHS BY CONGRESSMEN IN DELHI AND OTHER PLACES WRONG, BUTCHERING OF HUNDREDS OF HINDUS AND POOR LABOURERS FROM OTHER STATES IN JAMMU KASHMIR WAS ALSO WRONG. WHEN WILL YOU MAKE A STATEMENT OF THAT? DURING PARLIAMENT ELECTION? PLEASE LISTEN, INDIA IS A BIG COUNTRY; INDIA CANNOT TAKE THE EXPERIMENT OF GIVING PRIME MINISTERSHIPS TO NEW COMERS ON TRIAL AND ENABLING THEM TO LEARN THE GOVERNANCE. SO, BE IN THE PARTY ITSELF UNTIL YOU LEARN ATLEAST THE LENGTH AND BREADTH OF INDIA.
