  • After a complaint was lodged at the Sayajigunj police station against two persons, including a girl, who allegedly used bogus degree certificates from M S University’s Faculty of Science, police officers investigating the case said the accused, who had applied to a tyre manufacturing firm in Waghodia for jobs, were only class 12 pass.

According to Sayajigunj Police Inspector V D Chaudhary, the case was earlier referred to Waghodia Police Station. “However, we are investigating the case against accused Rajesh Bharwad and Nutan Vaghela. We met the science faculty dean as well, who told us about the forged signature of the then MSU Vice-Chancellor Manoj Soni,” added the police officer. Chaudhary said according to preliminary investigation, both the accused had just passed their class 12 examination in 2003 and had applied for the job in 2006.

Police said university Registrar A V Gupta had lodged the complaint against the accused on Monday. As per the complaint, Apollo Company based in Waghodia had ordered a private enquiry against the duo who worked in the company since 2006.
