Two persons were killed and nine others injured after a cylinder exploded during Durga puja celebrations at Sikandarpur area here, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday when during the celebrations a gas cylinder used to fill balloons exploded, killing Santosh Mali (40) and Manu Pandey (18) on the spot, they said.
Nine others were injured in the incident and taken to hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, police said.
