Two labourers lost their lives when the earth below an under-construction basement caved-in at Panchsheel Park in South Delhi on Wednesday. A police officer said excavation work was on at C4,Panchsheel Park,for a new building. Digging was on for the basement when the earth caved-in and an adjoining wall collapsed,killing two labourers, the officer said. The victims have been identified as Ali Ahmed and Manjer,he said. Another person received minor injuries. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chhaya Sharma said a case under IPC Section 304A/337/288 has been registered against the contractor of the building.
