2 more bodies at Goa creek spark fears of ‘serial killer’

Two more bodies were recovered from a city creek on Wednesday evening,taking the number of such recoveries to 10,including seven women.

Two more bodies were recovered from a city creek on Wednesday evening,taking the number of such recoveries to 10,including seven women. The recovery of bodies has deepened the suspense over the series of unnatural deaths reported in Goa.

Superintendent of Police (PRO) Atmaram Deshpande confirmed that bodies of a seven-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl were recovered from a creek running across the city. The police had in the morning recovered bodies of a woman (35) and a man (50) from the same creek. Deshpande said that the four bodies may be related to each other as they were found on the same day and from the same place.

The Goa police have recovered 10 bodies in the past three days. Of this,seven are of young women. In the backdrop of a scare triggered by the recovery of bodies,the state government on Wednesday set up two Special Investigating Teams (SIT) to probe the killings.
