  • Two persons from Ahmedabad tested positive for swine flu on Tuesday in Mumbai, thereby taking the number of those affected to 13 in Maharashtra, said health officials. This is the third case of swine flu that has a Gujarat connection; the first such case in the state was that of a Thai national who had come to Kandla port.

“The two Amdavadi men, both aged 25, had gone on a trip to Sri Lanka and South East Asia. They were on their way home when they were referred to the Kasturba Hospital by airport authorities on Monday. The two have tested positive and are undergoing treatment,” said Maharashtra Health Department officials.

The condition of the two patients is reportedly stable, added the officials.
