  • Two Nigerian nationals were arrested by the Chandigarh Police from different areas of the city on Tuesday under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Around 30 grams of cocaine was seized from both accused, who have been identified as 30-year-old Okoji Chinons and 36-year-old Calistus O Agunta. According to the police, the duo had been involved in smuggling of drugs and was under the radar of the Special Crime Investigation Cell of the police. Okoji was caught by ASI Desraj near the Sector-16 cricket stadium while Agunta was nabbed near Lakshmi Narain Mandir in Sector 44 by ASI Sohan Singh. “They have been in India without any passport or visa and Okoji does not even have any address proof here. Agunta, on the other hand, has been staying in a house in Mohan Garden in Noida,” a Special Crime Investigation Cell officer said. “They were in the city to supply cocaine to some people. We are investigating the network of foreign nationals here,” he added.
