The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police have arrested a person and seized 2.25 kg of charas which he had allegedly smuggled in from Bihar.

The arrested person has been identified as Lal Babu, a migrant from Bihar. The CIA police in-charge, Gurpreet Singh said that Babu had been arrested from a police naka on the Sham Nagar road late last evening.

A case under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Babu at the division number 5 police station. The police are investigating the case, Gurpreet Singh added.
