200 buses on CYG opening, closing days

  • Buses for Balewadi will run on 19 routes from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad during the CYG week. On October 2, PMPML started 15 buses on five routes, from Hadapsar, Chandannagar, Kothrud, Katraj and Nigdi. All these buses will pass through the corporation bus stop. The buses on these routes will be available on 30-minute frequencies.

    From October 5, around 5,000 accredited volunteers will be able to take an early morning bus to Balewadi from Hadapsar (5.05 am), Kothrud (5.15 am), Swargate (5.15 am), Shivajinagar (5.20 am), Nigdi (5.15 am) and Deccan (5.30 am). This service will be available till October 15.

    From October 10, there and additional 10 routes leading to Balewadi from Swargate, Shanipar, Khadkibazaar, Deccan, Katraj, Khadakvasla, Pune station, Vadgaonmaval and Bhosari.

    Meanwhile, commuters can avail of concessions during the CYG week as the daily pass rate has been slashed to Rs 30 (from Rs 50) and the weekly pass to Rs 150 (from Rs 225) for the CYG week — October 12 to October 18. All the major CYG bus stops will have senior PMPML personnel on deputation and customers can call on 32601644, 9881495574, and 9881235505.
