  • The Delhi pavilion at this year’s India International Trade Fair (IITF) will have the Commonwealth Games 2010 as theme.

The Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure and Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has remodelled the interiors of the pavilion and will cover an area of 1,422 square metres.

Health, education, tourism and hospitality sectors will figure prominently in the pavilion.

“We will also showcase Delhi’s various beautification projects,” said Chetan Sanghi, the managing director of DSIIDC.

According to DSIIDC officials, the pavilion will showcase a 3D tableaux float of the Games, which would include a soft toy versions of Games mascots of previous years.

The coat of arms of 71 participating Commonwealth countries will be suspended from the ceiling.

A sculpted hand and a larger-than-life size computer on top of it will represent the services sector. There will also be three to five large cellphone replicas highlighting the many schemes on offer in the form of SMSes.
