A 23-year-old in police records, Yogesh Londhe alias Tundya was allegedly murdered by unidentified persons in Ganesh Peth area on Thursday afternoon. Police said three to four persons allegedly assaulted Tundya with sharp knives and choppers. He was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead. Police have recovered some of weapons and have launched a search for the suspects.
Man arrested for raping 25-year-old
Koregaon Park police have arrested 35-year-old medical practitioner, O P Kushwaha on the charges of allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on the pretext of marrying her. The complainant has told the police that she had come to Kushwaha's clinic in March last year and later allegedly established physical relations with her promising that he would marry her. Police arrested Kushwaha and have booked him for rape, wrongful confinement and cheating. He has been remanded in police custody till February 25.
