A 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his apartment in Kondhwa. Police said Puranjay Madhav Randhirsingh was found dead in his duplex flat in Clover Iceland Residential Society in Kondhwa on Sunday morning,
Sub-inspector Rajaram Kshirsagar, who is investigating the case, said Puranjay's domestic help came to work on Sunday morning but no one answered when she knocked at the door. "She opened the door with the duplicate key she was carrying and found Puranjay hanging from the ceiling in his bedroom on the second floor. She called the neighbours and the police control room was informed," he added.
Police have registered a case of accidental death. "Puranjay's father is in the merchant navy and his mother works in Delhi. He was doing a course in animation and was also looking for a job. His domestic help told us that his father had visited him a couple of weeks back," said Kshirsagar.
