The 26/11 trial court on Monday set December 9 as the deadline for the prosecution to wrap up its evidence.

The prosecution had earlier missed its own target, the first anniversary of the attack. It has added witnesses to its list since. Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam sought permission to examine six witnesses whose evidence had been earlier submitted in the form of affidavits. The witnesses are doctors who treated the injured.

The court also sought a reply by Tuesday from defence lawyer K P Pawar on the number of witnesses he would like to cross-examine from among 11 doctors who had conducted autopsies and whose evidence had been submitted by affidavits.
