3 depose in Saji Mohan case

Two Mumbai ATS officials and a BSF Inspector were deposed on Wednesday in connection with a drug pilferage case against former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director and IPS officer,Saji Mohan.

Two Mumbai ATS officials and a BSF Inspector were deposed on Wednesday in connection with a drug pilferage case against former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director and IPS officer,Saji Mohan.

The deposed are,Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukhwinder Singh and Inspector Sanjeev Krishan along with BSF Inspector Rajesh Kumar Roshan.

DIG Sukhwinder Singh deposed that at the time of his arrest,Saji Mohan was posted in Mumbai.

ATS Inspector Sanjeev Krishan Rao said that they had arrested Saji Mohan in January 2009 along with contraband from Mumbai.

BSF Inspector Rajesh Kumar Roshan deposed that they had recovered contraband from J&K border.

Saji Mohan was booked by the Chandigarh Police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on March 14,2009 accusing him of pilferage of narcotics from NCB Malkhana.

Saji Mohan along with four others accused —- NCB Superintendent Balwinder Kumar,Jammu and Kashmir police constables Davinder Pal Singh and Naveen Kumar,and drug peddler Naseeb Chand,allegedly used to pilfer heroin from around 13 unclaimed seizures,which were in the NCB malkhana.

As per the allegations Mohan pilfered and manipulated the contraband seized from various places in Punjab and Jammu.
