A ‘Godman’ who named his ashram Kunwarika Bhavan (Virgins’ Home) and kept three young female devotees as his sex slaves for over two years, has ended up behind bars in Jhalod, Dahod district.

According to the police, the man lured two of the girls into his ashram — a two-room brick house at Kalji-Sarwani village in Dahod — by promising to personally sire babies with supernatural powers for them. He had even managed to gain the trust of the victims’ parents, who allowed their daughters, both in their early twenties, to stay with him. One of the girls delivered a baby boy a few months ago.The third victim was reportedly abducted from a nearby village and kept at the ashram where she was sexually exploited. The 45-year-old godman, Sabur Baria alias Naklank Bhagwan, was allegedly assisted in his unholy pursuits by his wife, Sevli. Their ‘sex racket’ came to an end when the abducted girl’s grandfather traced her and alerted the cops.

According to the Jhalod police, the girl was barely 15 years old when she was kidnapped by Baria and his wife from Kadwa village and taken to the ashram where she was raped repeatedly.
