The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apprehended three persons from Mizoram for possession of 77.5 kg pseudoephedrine, worth Rs 62 lakh, from IGI Airport on Wednesday. CISF public relations officer Hemendra Singh said: "At 2.28 am, CISF surveillance staff observed suspicious movement of three passengers in the check-in area of Terminal 1D. They were found carrying three big suitcases and on checking, tablets weighing 77.5 kg were detected." Singh said the three have been identified as C Lalchhal (28),
C Znanghak (27) and Zorema (21). The NCB team, which carried out an inspection of the tablets, confirmed that they were pseudoephedrine tablets worth approximately Rs 62 lakh in the Indian market and Rs 3.72 crore in the international market.
Car falls into Agra Canal, two passengers missing
New Delhi: Two persons were missing after a Maruti Zen fell into the Agra Canal in Badarpur, South Delhi, on Wednesday. Police said one of the occupants, Manish (27), was recuperating in AIIMS, while two others — Raju (25) and Deepak (18) — were missing. All three are residents of Molarband Extension in Badarpur. Personnel from Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services were involved in rescue operations. "Preliminary investigations revealed that Manish was teaching one of the others how to drive. The car swerved and fell into the canal," a senior police officer said.
