3 killed in business rivalry

Three persons were killed in a group clash at Bhavnagar Road in Rajkot on Tuesday. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two groups were rivals in cable and real estate business and the attack was premeditated by one of the groups.

Dharmendra Bharwad,Jitu Bharwad were attacked by Jigu Bavaji and his associate Kaushik Bavaji. Dharmendra,Jitu and Jigu died in the fight,while Kaushik sustained injuries,police said.

“Dharmendra and Jitu were riding a bike when Jigu and Kaushik,who were in a car,stopped them. They attacked them with pipes and sticks. Dharmendra and Jitu retaliated with an iron rod they were carrying,” said the police. Kaushik is admitted at the Rajkot Civil Hospital.

The police said both groups were trying to dominate the cable business in the Devpara area and eyeing some real estate properties
