3 labourers die in water tank collapse

Three labourers died after a concrete water tank located in a labour colony outside Bathinda refinery collapsed as the labourers were taking a bath on Sunday morning.

Three labourers died after a concrete water tank located in a labour colony outside Bathinda refinery collapsed as the labourers were taking a bath on Sunday morning. The deceased,a refinery official said,were identified as Ram Yatan,Satinder and Vijay,all hailing from Jharkhand. While one of them died on the spot,the two others died on the way to hospital,the official said. Bathinda refinery chief manager Rajiv Parmar confirmed three casualties. However,when contacted late on Sunday evening,Talwandi Sabo Deputy Superintendent of Police Surinderpal Singh said police had information about only “one casualty” in the incident “so far”.
