  • Mumbai attack
Believed to be led by chief of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, 'Brigade 313' is said to have close Taliban connections.

Another member of this group is Matiur Rehman, who at one time was known to be the chief of al-Qaeda in Pakistan. Sources said investigators are now probing whether the terrorists were actually referring to this group of Mujahideen outfits when they mentioned Brigade 313. They said this fresh line of investigation could throw a new light on the probe and lead to other people who might be involved in the conspiracy.
