The round-the-clock walkathon had been organised by the Rani Breast Cancer Trust (RBCT) to generate awareness about breast cancer in the region. The 31-hour walkathon had started at 10 am on Saturday.
Among those who joined the two-day walkathon were the doctors and staff of Fortis Hospital, Mohali, the students and staff of Gian Sagar Medical College and Institute, Banur, GMN College, Ambala Cantt, the Seth Jai Prakash Mukund Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology, near Yamunanagar, and volunteers of the Chandigarh Police.
A qawwali performance by The Collage of Creativity led by Avir Bhav, orchestra play by Jacob and a musical performance by Param Chandel were also held.
Early morning walkers in Sector 17 were also treated to a kirtan performance by Dr Jagir Singh.
