




The tournament is being organised by the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Foundation under the aegis of the Poona District Football Association. Last year's winner Krida Probodhini, runner-up Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Military School, Symbiosis School, Gurukul, J N Petit, Loyola, Sardar Dastur Coed School, Abhinav School – are amongst some of the top teams will be see in action, Vishwajit Kadam, who is also the managing trustee of AKMF, stated.
“This being the third year of the tournament and with all the leading schools in and around the city participating, we expect closely fought matches under ideal turf ground conditions provided for the tournament”, Kadam said.
Among the other attractive prizes offered are Branded Track suits for each member of the winning and runner-up team. Besides the best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament will also be offered the Branded track suits, Kadam said adding that all the participating teams will be awarded certificates.
The tournament will be inaugurated on December 3 at 10 am by Chandrakant Mokate, deputy mayor of Pune Municipal Corporation and Vijaymala Kadam will preside over the function. Matches will be held between 10 am and 5 pm every day.
Krida Probodhini was the last year's winner and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Military School was the runner-up. While last year Rana Chaudhari of Delhi Public School was adjudged the Best Player of Tournament, the Best Goalkeeper trophy went to Yogiraj Sankpal of the SSPMS School.
