Four members of a gang involved in diesel theft were arrested from Meghaninagar area last night in connection with the sensational killing of their rival gangster inside the L G Hospital about four months ago.

Four members of a gang involved in diesel theft were arrested from Meghaninagar area last night in connection with the sensational killing of their rival gangster inside the L G Hospital about four months ago.

Acting on a tip-off,the police intercepted the Qualis vehicle they were travelling in near Tata Nagar Society. Two countrymade guns with two live bullets and four mobile equipments were also seized from them,the police said.

The arrested four have been identified as Sanjay alias Meblo Rameshsinh Bhadoria,a resident of Vejalpur,Rahul alias Circuit Shantilal Shah,a resident of Odhav,Krunal alias Lalo Girish Barot ,a resident of CTM,and Gaurav Chauhan,a resident of Vejalpur.

Police sub inspector P M Parmar,who is investigating the case,said they were involved in the murder of gangster Balwant Kahar in L G Hospital.

According to police,they had also fired at Kaharas brother Rajesh Kahar and his associates Hirasinh Patwa and Suresh Thakor when they were travelling in a Scorpio car near Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway. However,no one was injured in the incident.

Police said they had opened fire to threaten Rajesh so that he did not depose in court. Rajesh is a witness in Balwants murder case.
