Ahead of the Rio+20 Conference on climate change later this year,Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has urged the African and Asian nations to close their ranks to get the best outcomes for the developing and poor countries in the climate change negotiations. We should put our heads together to work for the best outcomes at the climate change negotiations and the forthcoming Rio+20 Conference, the PM said at a gathering of representatives from African and Asian nations inaugurating the golden jubilee celebrations of the Afro-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) here on Monday. The PM emphasised on the importance of managing environmental challenges for economies and urged countries to rally together for long-term sustainable growth.
