After Presidential visit,SRK chalks out plans

The actor has initiated talks with Golmaal series director Rohit Shetty for making a comedy film. He has also taken a keen interest in finding a co-star for his next movie to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s last novel Two States.

Shah Rukh will be seen on television early next year hosting an adventure sports-based reality show called Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout on Imagine TV.

Kapoor spends birthday hard at work

Anil Kapoor celebrated his birthday last week and threw a party for his close friends and family at his residence. The party went on till the wee hours of the morning. Kapoor was woken up by his wife Sunita at 11 in the morning,five hours after he went to sleep.

A small puja was held where the actor wished peace and happiness for himself and his family. His daughter Sonam flew in later in the day especially from Amritsar to be by her father’s side on his special day. Sonam is currently shooting for Pankaj Kapur’s Mausam with Shahid Kapoor in Punjab.

Kapoor then stepped out to launch the DVD of his hit American television series 24 at a suburban mall in Mumbai. A cake was cut with the actor announcing that he was pleased to discover how 24 was his lucky number as his birthday also fell on the same day as the series.

Kapoor has moved on from No Problem’s failure and announced he will try to bring Tom Cruise down to India when Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol releases,wherein he plays a negative character.

Rani busy in Jessica promotions

Rani Mukerji is excited about her forthcoming movie No One Killed Jessica where she plays a crime reporter. She describes her role as dynamic and inspiring. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta,the film is based on the true story of Jessica Lal’s murder case and is slated for release on January 7.

The actress is busy promoting the film along with her co-star Vidya Balan. She was in high spirits at the concluding day of IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo festival. The light-eyed beauty rocked at music director Amit Trivedi’s concert and even mock kissed Vidya for the crowd’s benefit. Before that,she also went to Dhaka with Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal for a campaign to make Sundarbans’ mangrove forests as one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Later she performed to her popular songs such as Hum Tum,Saathiya and Shava shava at the Bangladesh capital. The actress also revealed that given the right opportunity,she would love to do a television show. Rani will begin shooting for Reema Kagti’s next film with Aamir Khan in 2011.
