BJP and Congress on Monday clashed over the findings of the Liberhan Commission, which has indicted senior BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani and M M Joshi, among others, for the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.

Justice M S Liberhan, who submitted his findings to the government on June 30, this year after an inquiry lasting nearly 17 years, has called the BJP leaders "pseudo-moderates" and stated that the entire build-up to the demolition was meticulously planned, according to a newspaper report.

The voluminous report, expected to be tabled in Parliament along with the Action Taken Report during the ongoing winter session, is believed to have refrained from coming down heavily on the then Union government headed by P V Narasimha Rao, saying that the then state governor did not do much and also did not seek the Centre's intervention.

Accusing the Congress government of "selectively leaking" the report to one newspaper, BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said this has been done to "divert attention from core issues" like price rise and corruption.

"There is no authenticity of the report. Why government is shying away from tabling the Liberhan report in Parliament?" he asked and said that the move was aimed at creating "turmoil in Parliament and across the nation."

M M Joshi said, "This is a leakage and such leakages are, I think, with a political motive. So the best thing is that the government should place the entire report (in Parliament) and what action they want to take on the report."

Babri Masjid - better to be forgotten.By: Jay Dinakar | 24-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward It is a sheer waste of time to divert the valuable time of the Parliament to discuss about such issues as Babri Masjid. This is history that should never be repeated. This is, by any measure as crude and barbaric, as the demolition of Hindu Temples by Tippu Sultan. What difference does it make ? In the interest of all the families of all communities and in the interest of Nation, we should forget all these issues and spend the time in progressive thinking and discuss about : providing quality education, curtailing population, creating employment opportunities, eradicating corruption that is prevalent at all levels today, combating terrorism etc. How can a country fritter away its valuable time in discussing about a worthless issue like Babri Masjid or Tippu Sultan? Jay Dinakar.
Liberhan Commission reportBy: Varinder | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward If the resport was submitted to government in June 09, why goverment was sitting on it and who leaked it before tabling the report in Parliament? It appears the government has some interior motives and whosoever has leaked the report must be punished. As far Dr.Manu Singhvi's comments that people of India are not fool, yes they are not and people want to know why the report was not tabled in Parliament earlier, who leaked it and what happened to Sri Krishna commission report as well. A pot cannot call the kettle black. People of India also would like to know whose appointee was governor at the time of demolition of Baberi Mosque and why he failed to inform the centre for preventive action. Nevertheless it is time for people to ponder how long they would like to be misled and fooled by congress on Core Issues.
Congress sympathisers in BJPBy: R.C.Mohan | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward BJP has been a divided house now. Power mongers with communal fanatics join hands to weeken the party in connivance with the ruling Congress Party. There are congress sympathizers in BJP and they conspire with these fanatics to alienate leaders who had been the pillars of BJP. They succeeded in removing Jaswant Singh, Vijayraje Sindhya, and many front line leaders from the party and now aimed at L K Advani and others. Soon the BJP is going to be in the hands of RSS and VHP completely and perhaps that would be the last nail on its coffin. Now the situation is that none of the frontline leaders see face to face so as to wait for opportunity to pull the legs of one another. The congress party has been playing good game. Liberhan report has been cunningly leaked out so as to prevent it to get it placed before the Parliament. Who knows that the leaked one is the original report? If Congress is playing the game why these empty headed people keep silent on the truth? Why can't they protest?
LiberhanBy: C2 | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Liberhan was the most corrupt judge to have headed a High court and was a terrific anti social and among his friends was Nalini Chidambaram, a lawyer by herself.Using this connection, PC has got him sign a report prepared for the sake of the Congress. Liberhan is also on the pay roll of many Western think tanks and has got money to write this report. Like many in Delhi, and especially like Shekar Gupta, the mediaman for Sonia, Liberhal will also get his reward. Persons in netural posts like Ranganath Mishra, MS Gill, Thakkar and Natarajan were rewarded for their services to the Gandhi family through posts after retirement. Take it from me, Navin Chawla will become President after Prostitute Pratiba
pathakBy: Santosh | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Is it Liberhan committee report or lier committee report. We dont want to engage into debate as we know how reports are made and what politics goes behind it.As a sympathiser of hindutwa I would take responsibility if i was there then on 6th dec. it is a matter of pride that we showed courage that day, it was a day of hindu awakening. we cannot let our pride go vanished. Even if liberhan is right no guilty feelng otherwise as Allah dont forgive them for singing vandemataram Bhagwan Ram will not forgive us as we could shelter him in his own land....
We are not aloneBy: exile | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Hear Hear! I had thought Hindus were already mentally dead. But apparently proud Hindus aren't extinct. 6 December was a glorious day in the Hindu renaissance, and should be marked by national celebrations. BJP should hold its head up in pride. Vande Mataram! Jai Bharat Mata!
