New Delhi, October 11: A 25-year-old youth was crushed to death by a Blueline bus in Noida’s Sector 11 on Saturday. The police said the incident occurred when the Blueline tried to overtake another Blueline bus on the same route and hit a motorcyclist, a resident of Bihar, leaving him dead on the spot.

The incident occurred around 8 pm. “The motorcyclist was standing just next to a Blueline bus. The bus driver that crushed the motorcyclist could not see him and dragged him along as he was driving at a high speed,” Devendra Kumar, Sector 24 station house officer, said.

The victim, Ompal singh, was resident of Mamura village in Noida. He was rushed to the Metro Hospital. “He was declared dead on arrival. A case of rash driving causing death has been registered against the absconding driver,” Kumar said.
