A bomb scare interrupted the proceedings at a Wimbledon warm-up event in London delaying a third-round match between Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt by 15 minutes.

"A member of the public reported a bomb threat message found pinned to a wall just before the third match on Centre Court began," Queen's Club chief executive Andrew Stewart said in a statement.

The threat turned out to be a hoax and Hewitt, who lost 6-7 (2) 6-7 (4) to the big-serving American, described the entire situation as weird.

"We weren't told anything. They just said that we had to wait, there was something going on. There obviously was a bit of a commotion out on the court. We weren't 100 per cent what was going on," the Australian said.

"During Memphis this year, (James) Blake and I were in the same situation. Someone had a heart attack in the crowd. It was very similar. To have it happen twice within six months is a bit weird," he added.
