‘Green’ GDP data from 2015
New Delhi: In a bid to bring environmental concerns into mainstream growth accounting, the government plans to release green GDP data from 2015, environment minister Jairam Ramesh said on Friday. Green GDP is conventional gross domestic product figures adjusted for the environmental costs of economic activities. It’s a measure of how a country is prepared for sustainable economic development.
AI pilots defer strike by six days
New Delhi: Air India pilots, protesting management’s moves to cut their salaries and allowances, on Friday deferred their strike threat from November 24 by six days, even as the conciliation talks remained inconclusive. Chief labour commissioner S K Mukhopadhyay appealed to them to defer their strike call till the next round of negotiations on November 30.
Indiabulls Real Estate promoter sells 8.25%
Mumbai: Indiabulls Real Estate on Friday said one of its promoters, Sameer Gehlaut, has sold his 8.25 per cent stake in the company for Rs 798.56 crore through an open market transaction. In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the realty developer said post transaction, Gehlaut holds 0.29 per cent stake in the company. Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate closed at Rs 224.80, up 0.63 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.

MUMBAI: DSP BlackRock Investment Managers has announced the launch of DSP BlackRock World Mining Fund. The scheme is a fund of funds scheme investing predominantly into the BlackRock Global Funds (BGF)-World Mining Fund (WMF) which invests in equity securities of mining companies globally. These companies generally operate across various geographies and enjoy considerable pricing flexibility.
