Bring out the Band

What good is a successful formula if it cannot be repeated? So,the team of the sleeper hit Band Baaja Baraat (BBB) has come together for another venture. Called Ladies vs Rickie Bahl,the film once again leads with Anushka Sharma and Ranvir Singh. Singh plays a charming con man,who cheats unsuspecting girls for a living. Until,of course,he meets his match. “The film came about during the post-production stage of BBB and Aditya Chopra bounced off the idea with me. We spun out a script and locked it,” says director Maneesh Sharma,who became an overnight success with BBB. Ladies vs Rickie Bahl will be produced by Chopra.

Like in BBB,Habib Faisal has written the dialogues,the screenplay is by Devika Bhagat,the music composition by Salim-Sulaiman,lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Aseem Mishra is director of photography. Shooting will start in April,with a worldwide release scheduled for December 9,the anniversary of the weekend that BBB released. “Even I am looking forward to how this film will pan out,” adds Sharma.
