Putting up a brave face in the wake of the latest row over the nuclear deal, Congress on Thursday dismissed Opposition demands of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s resignation and immediate convening of a session of Parliament.

“We absolutely reject it,” Congress spokesman Manish Tewari said, adding, that the PM and the government has kept Parliament and the nation informed of the developments relating to the Indo-US nuclear deal since the beginning.

He dubbed as “totally preposterous and obnoxious and nonsense” the charge of the BJP and the Left that the PM has misled the country.

Tewari said the latest controversy does not bring out any new fact which has not been discussed in Parliament.
