India is expected to get information about the plans and network of LeT operatives David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Rana next week when a high-level FBI team visits New Delhi with "all details" of their probe.

National Security Adviser M K Narayanan said US President Barack Obama has told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that he was seized of the case related to Headley and Rana, who were arrested by the FBI on the charges of plotting attacks in India at the behest of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Obama told Singh during their meeting on Tuesday that he would be sending a high-level FBI team to India within a week with "all details", Narayanan told journalists accompanying the Prime Minister on return home from two-nation tour of US and Trinidad and Tobago.

The team is expected to give exhaustive details about the plans of Headley and Rana and their network in India. "Let us see what information they share," Narayanan said.

Headley, a Pakistani-born American, and Rana, Canadian of Pakistani-origin, were arrested by the FBI in October on the charges of plotting attacks in India and Denmark. Indian officials suspect that Headley and Rana could have been involved in the 26/11 attacks but there is no evidence in this regard so far.

The US has told India that it has zeroed-in on a Pakistani national who could have been a link between Headley and Rana and their Pakistan-based handlers.

Indian investigators wanted to interrogate Headley and Rana and a team from New Delhi had gone to the US earlier this month. But the US did not give access citing legal compulsions.

When can we get Dawood Ibrahim ?By: Patriotic Indian | 30-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Why not pressure the US to pressure Pakistan to hand over Dawood Ibrahim???
Doctored intelligence By: naresh | 29-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward People of India are thankful for prevention of one terrorism attack to USA. However the intelligence does not do justice (in blind form) to those who are captured! Some elements of intelligence will be doctored and censured to protect US-Pak interests. This act of not rising up for Indian people, on part of elected incompetents, is called compromise of human rights of Indians. US constitution is less then 20 pages, unlike chapters and volumes of meaningless articles in Indian constitution, which are never enforced or adhered to. People of India are still skeptical, as long as US funds Pakistan without a $ to $ match to Indians and the bogus visits of PM does not even demand or stand up for Indians!!! Congress party of India is a national disgrace, time and again.
Why is questioning not allowed?By: Indian | 29-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward When Kasab was arrested,FBI were flown in and allowed to question him. Why cant the favor be returned in Headley's case? Legal complications can be easily solved once the global threat of terrorism is realized by the US.The FBI report can only be suspected to be a complete one.
Mahesh Bhatt should be questionedBy: n.krishna | 29-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Mahesh Bhatt immediately after the 26/11 attack, on TV had commented that we have not seen the real action yet and much more serious thing has yet to come. This comment may be due to his and his son Rahul Bhatt%u2019s interaction with Daood Gilani alias David Coleman Headley the 26/11 mastermind. CBI should study the talk of this half mulsim terrorist Mahesh Bhatt and should question him the basis for such comments and why he has not reported such things to the police at that time.
IS our Int Agency ListeningBy: Kumar | 29-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Sir, It is surprising that today Indian int agencies are trying to remain afloat on a straw offered by FBI. Our cops have reached a dead end as far as investigation in 26/11 is concerned. We have no clue who sponsered, who provided money and who are the local links. We have forgotten the losses but FBI has not. US is not leaving the investigation inconclusive, where as we have forgotten. I think we need to be more focused and our int agencies need to be more professional. Our workforce in the int agencies is poorly trained and poorly motivated. Senior officers are busy in making trips abroad and spend less time in feild. Where as feild job is left to low level functionaries. We need to change this work culture. Senior officers need to spend more time in field with their feild staff. We have far greater threat than any other country and we are required to be more vigilent but we have not yet got our act together. Wake India, wake up int agencies and wake up MHA.
