Finally,fans get their due from Kings XI

“To win the team needs to include more local players which will also attract more fans to the stadium. It feels good to see the team finally scoring a win at home,” he added.

Most spectators had turned out to watch the Master Blaster in action and were seen supporting Mumbai Indians instead of the home side. “We just came to watch Sachin play. This ground has been lucky for him as he completed 12,000 runs in test cricket on this ground. Though he hit a few boundaries and got out cheaply,we are lucky to have watched him bat. The way Kings XI Punjab has done so far in this tournament,we were not supporting them,” said Aditi Prashar,a student,who had come from Kurukshetra.

Despite Friday being the last home match for Kings XI at PCA Stadium,fans were disappointed after traffic was stopped due to the arrival of VIPs. “We are happy that the matches are finally over. We live nearby and it was a lot of trouble for us to commute. The police have put barricades and fans with tickets have to go through a lot of hassles before they reach the stadium,” said Kulbir Singh,a local.
