“We are ready with the brochures but the SBI authorities are still working on certain modalities to set up a mechanism in their network for implementing the scheme,” said GMADA Chief Administrator Vivek Partap Singh, while hinting at the launch within a couple of days.

Singh said once the SBI gets ready for the launch, all other banks interested to get empanelled would be considered and decided. “We would allow all other interested banks provided they agree to abide by the terms and conditions we had already finalised with the SBI,” said he,while adding that the entire demand of brochures would be met by making their ample availability all through the scheme period of probably one month.

Initially,GMADA has got published around 50,000 brochures, each priced at Rs 100,but more would be published as and when required.

Citing the past experience,a GMADA official said on average almost 60 per cent of the total sold brochures are submitted back. “Since we are offering 3,950 plots,we anticipate around 30,000 applications, according to which we have prepared 50,000 brochures,” he revealed.
