Mumbai, October 11: Mumbai FC continued their giant-killing spree on Saturday at the Cooperage ground as they dealt local giants Mahindra United their third straight defeat in the I-league. Their only goal came from K Kulothungan in the 23rd minute. Table toppers Mumbai FC will now meet defending champions Dempo SC in Goa.

Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan’s title hopes suffered another setback after they lost 2-0 to hosts Sporting Clube de Goa. Wilton Gomes scored the first in the 25th minute off a Joseph Pereira cross from inside the box and Nigeria’s Nathaniel Amos doubled the lead in the 47th minute when he outjumped Deepak Mondal to head the ball at the far post.

In Ludhiana, Mohammedan Sporting paid the price of squandering early opportunities, losing to JCT by two goals. Bouncing back from a shaky start as Mohammedan forward Sunday and midfielder Mike Okoro caused trouble, JCT got their first goal from Baljit Singh a minute before half time. In the second half Eduardo da Silva scored off a pass from Jagpreet in the 68th minute.
