Girl’s suicide: no link to any reality show,says father

With no suicide note being found,the police are trying to ascertain why Neha took the extreme step. Manpada police said,“So far,we have not found out why Neha committed suicide. During our inquiry,we did not come across anything to link it with her ambition of participating in any dance contest. We will conduct further inquiries to determine what might have compelled her to take this step.”

The student of Class VI was found hanging by a dupatta from the ceiling of her Sai Darshan Apartment in Dombivali on Saturday morning. “The door was locked from inside,eliminating any chance of foul play. We haven’t found any suicide note yet,” said Senior Police Inspector Subhash Divekar of Manpada Police Station.

The police said that Neha’s mother is a teacher and her father is employed with a private firm in Mumbai. When Neha’s body was discovered,her parents had left for work and Neha’s younger sister had returned from morning school.

Pregnant woman kills self
A three-month pregnant woman committed suicide by hanging herself on Sunday evening. Sarika (20),a labour contractor’s wife,was allegedly being pressurised by her husband and mother-in-law to undergo an abortion. A case has been registered and the Vakola police have arrested Umesh Pawar (24) and his mother for subjecting Sarika to cruelty and abetment to suicide.
