New Mayor Shraddha Jadhav wants illegal slumdwellers in Mumbai to pay taxes. After being sworn in on Tuesday, she said it is necessary to draft a policy to ensure this. Jadhav,45,has made a number of such suggestions to the civic administration and this tops her priority list, she said.
The four-term corporator from Antop Hill issued a press note shortly after defeating the Congresss Priscila Kadam by 19 votes.
