Security agencies are looking for a man in his mid-20s,who is suspected to be the Indian Mujahideen media wing member who sent emails to media houses claiming responsibility for the Varanasi blast earlier this month. The agencies believe the same man had sent similar emails after the Jama Masjid firing in September. The Mumbai police had even prepared his sketch after the Jama Masjid firing. Official sources said the suspect had sent the email after the Varanasi blast by hacking a WiFi in Mumbai’s Vashi area and by using a Tata Photon Internet card after the Jama Masjid firing. “His name is not known. We did not have his photo earlier. His sketch was made with the help of shop owner in Dadar (Mumbai) from where he had purchased a new Tata Photon connection three days before the Jama Masjid firing,” said a source. “The head of IM media wing,Mansoor Asghar Peerbhoy, had in his interrogation claimed that several other members of his wing were not arrested and he could be one of them.” Sources said his sketch has been sent to all the agencies involved in the investigations and IB officials are also gathering information on him. “Over 100 persons have been questioned in Mumbai to locate this man. But till now there is no clue,” said the officer. Mumbai Police had even looked for this man in Pune since Peerbhoy and other members of IM’s media wing belonged to that city.
