Bobby Mitra,chairman, Indian Semiconductor Association (ISA),on Wednesday said the association would soon start regional chapters in Pune to support local semiconductor industries for better industrial growth.
He was speaking at an interactive Panel Discussion organized on Creating Indian Ecosystem: From Design to Product here on Wednesday. Pradeep Dharane announced a new initiative on university level participation in high end computing for energy management and cloud computing applications.
Our university program is intended to bolster the efficacy of the student community by exposing high end microprocessor-based research and design towards applications such energy Management and cloud Computing, he said. He said India will consume over $100 billion electronics products in the next five years. These will be high-end products made for India,in the field of energy management,computing resource,communication devices. Applied Micro University program intends to empower students with necessary technical knowhow,equipments and electronic parts required to produce product designs for Indian customers, he said.
