JMM has vowed to put an end to corruption, fear and unemployment in Jharkhand in its poll manifesto.

"A decisive action will be taken against 'bhay, bhuk aur bhastachar' (fear, hunger and corruption) if the people vote the JMM to power," said the manifesto, released by party chief Shibu Soren in Dumka yesterday ahead of the five-phased elections starting November 25.

Claiming that the JMM did not went for any alliance to prevent Jharkhand from becoming a 'political lab', the document appealed people to vote and "save Jharkhand from being looted".

"To change the image of Jharkhand and turning it into a progressive state is JMM's priority," it added. Contesting from all the 81 seats, the party also pledged to curb price rice, provide irrigation to farmers, genuine price for farm products and free grains to BPL families.

Other promises made by the party included giving preference to locals in grade 3 and 4 jobs, holding of panchayat polls, confirmation of ad hoc teachers, homeguards to be categorised as grade-4, amendment in police recruitment rules, pension to those participated (above 60 years of age) in the Jharkhand movement.
