Two suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad militants, arrested from separate villages in Reasi district of Jammu on Wednesday, have revealed that they worked at a textile mill in Okhla industrial area of Delhi before returning home in Jammu and Kashmir.
Following their interrogation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police picked up three more suspects from different parts of Mahore area in the Reasi district on Thursday.
According to police sources, the three accused were also working at a textile mill in Okhla, South Delhi.
On Wednesday, the state police had arrested two Jaish outfit terrorists, Abdul Hamid and Rashid Bhat. Sources said the two suspects have not confessed to involvement in any terror attack during their questioning on Thursday. The suspects have not disclosed the name of the textile mill in Okhla area either, sources said. Sub Divisional Police Officer, Mahore, Sujit Kumar, said: All five the two arrested militants and the three suspects will be thoroughly interrogated to crack their network.
It will take some time before they (the suspected militants) reveal any significant terror links and network in J&K, Delhi or any other part of the country, he added.
Sources also said that a significant cache was recovered from the possession of the two militants, indicating that they were working as Jaish cadres in the state and as well as in Delhi. The state police are trying to identify the textile firm where they worked. Sources added that after the Okhla textile firm is identified, the state police will contact the police station concerned in Delhi and a state police team may be sent to Delhi for the purpose.
