The sequel to 2010s blockbuster hit Dabangg went on floors on March 8.

The sequel to 2010s blockbuster hit Dabangg went on floors on March 8. The first schedule of the film is being shot at Kamalistan Studios in Mumbai. Confirms a unit member,“Dabangg was based in a small village of Uttar Pradesh. Now that Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are married (in the film),they move to a bigger town,Kanpur. Thus, for Dabangg 2,the team has created a huge set of Kanpur city, which occupies 80 per cent of the Kamalistan studio.”

The team has created the typical bungalows including Salman’s house and the police station, some famous streets, bylanes and shops that are characteristic of the city. “Salman’s house is different from his Dabangg’s house which was old and rustic. Since in the sequel,Salman is an affluent married man,the decor of his house will reflect that too,” says the source.

The film which also stars Vinod Khanna,Arbaaz Khan and Mahie Gill,is being rushed to complete its outdoor shoot before the arrival of monsoons. After Kamalistan Studios, the team will shoot at Film City,Mumbai. The last schedule of Dabangg 2 will be shot by the end of May at Satara for 20 days and as per source it is one of the major sequences of the movie.
