Aecom Technology Corp, a leading consultant in technical and management support services based in Los Angeles, is keen to collaborate with the Airports Authority of India for the modernisation of the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport here. According to the president and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, William Allen, vice-chairman Ray Holdsworth has said that his company is “interested in working with the AAI to help it realise its goals”.
AECOM has more than 40,000 employees across the globe and has been engaged in the modernisation and construction of many airports, seaports and large infrastructure projects. Holdsworth was a member of the US trade delegation from South California that was here on Friday and Saturday. Council member of the city of Long Beach, Suja Lowenthal, and Long Beach Harbour Commission president, Mario Cordero, who were part of the same trade mission, are learnt to have begun a dialogue with the Kolkata Port Trust for its expansion plans.
