Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) asked Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to provide all the information in Marathi on its newly launched website.

Arvind Gawde, MNS leader from Colaba, met SEBI's Deputy Chief Executive officer Ashish Kumar Chauhan and submitted a memorandum highlighting the party's demand.

SEBI has recently re-launched its website with options in English, Hindi and Gujarati, Gawde said.

"It has conveniently forgotten Marathi despite having its headquarters in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The SEBI officials accepted their mistake and agreed to rectify it," he said.

SEBI,MNS and MarathiBy: Subhash Patil | 22-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward good work.this, no other party in Maharashtra would have noticed otherwise.though I am not great supporter of MNS,it is touching issues untouched before.though they are doing this for gaining popularity.nothing wrong in this as it creates awareness.next, they should create awareness about stock markets and other financial sector opportunities among Maharashtrians. Please don't listen to Hindi and English media they speak only evil about Marathis. We are good and responsible Indians, ask any non-Marathi living in Maharashtra. It is not about language but about respecting culture.Among my friends,I found non-Hindi speakers tend learn Marathi and local customs than Hindi speakers.Small number of people from each corner of India are always welcome because then these people try to amalgamate with local population with ease. There will always be resistance if someone tries to change demography of any city, state or country with large migration of one particular coummunity.Jai Hind.Jai Maharashtra.
3 cheers to RAJ THACKREYBy: manish shirsat | 21-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward IF SEBI CAN PUT GUJARATI LANGUAGE (WHICH IS NOT THE LOCAL LANGUAGE OF MAHARASHTRA)AS AN OPTION THEN IT CAN DEFINATELY PUT MARATHI LANGUAGE ALSO AS AN OPTION AS MARATHI BEING THE LOCAL LANGUAGE OF MAHARASHTRA STATE...
